Raindance Mexico was born in 2012 as an exchange programme dedicated to promote the Mexican film industry in London and the Raindance Film Festival in Mexican territory.
In 2015, as part of the diplomatic celebration of the Dual Year Mexico – United Kingdom, Raindance Mexico presented the first Co-production Forum Mexico - UK, through a unique partnership between Raindance, Variety Magazine and the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG).
Raindance Mexico presented a total of 26 feature films and 16 short films as UK premieres, including first – time directors Fernando Frías, Roberto Fiesco, Isaac Ezban, Elise Durant, Sandra Rozental, Jacaranda Correa, Laura Plancarte, Rodrigo Reyes, among others.
