About us
Botany: Science that deals with the study of plants including their structure, conformation, properties geographical distribution and the relationships between organisms that are distantly related to each other.
Botánica de Proyectos (Botany of Projects) takes this science as a reference and inspires its work in all those naturalists who, in past centuries, ventured into deep explorations in unknown territories to study and identify the plant world.
Botánica de Proyectos emerges after numerous travels, with the aim of studying the diversity in contemporary cultural and artistic practices. The exploration of new territories allows us to identify outstanding audiovisual production, build connections, create exchanges, and promote our findings within an exclusive network of contacts.
The agency was founded in 2017 by Mariela Velasco as an evolution of previous projects that represent the foundation of our current work: Guerrera Media and View Mexico, agencies that at the time promoted the work of music composer Michael Nyman in Mexico City and the Mexican Film Selection at Raindance Film Festival in London.

I’m a marketing specialist and a creative producer with more than 10 years of experience in the visual arts and creative industries sector. I am passionate about initiatives that inspire, educate, and resonate through arts and culture. My career and life journey has taken me to exciting places around the world. Diversity is my motto and my principal aim is to help raising cultural awareness through stimulating, original, independent artistic productions. I truly believe in the power of collaborative networks to deliver outstanding projects.
