Inspiring Girls

During the spring 2022, Botánica welcomed the association Inspiring Girls Mexico as the resident of our Projects Lab. The collaboration was planned as a virtual residence to create a film programme entirely dedicated to girls and female teenagers. This film programme is planned to be presented as part of the International Day of the Girl commemoration, which takes place every 11th of October.
The residence has been an opportunity to imagine, share and exchange ideas to be transformed into concrete life tools for many girls in Mexico. We hope cinema and the vision of other women help them break stereotypes and trace their own path.
Inspiring Girls Mexico is a non-profit
organisation founded in 2018. Through their work, the organisation has reached out almost
4,000 girls between 12 and 17 years old, who have changed their way of seeing the world
after speaking with professional women from different areas and through workshops and
conferences that boost their skills and self-confidence.
